❤️ Welcoming New Staff to Shaker!
Shaker is growing! This year, 91 new team members were invited to New Staff Academy, with 55 able to join us for a day of welcoming, connecting and exploring the Shaker community!
And if you spot a few familiar faces in the photo, you’re not mistaken! 👀 Staff members who joined Shaker after last year’s New Staff Academy were invited to take part in this year’s experience too. So you’ll see lots of new faces and maybe a few you already know!
As part of the day, the Shaker Schools Foundation’s Marla Walker and Shenita Siggers, District Family and Community Engagement Liaison, served as tour guides, sharing some of the people, places and history that make Shaker so special.
And a BIG shoutout to our amazing bus drivers who got us around safely and helped make the tours possible! 🚌

What a fantastic evening at the Back-to-School BBQ! ❤️🤍

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we celebrated the start of a new school year. It was wonderful to see so many Shaker students, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners coming together for an evening of food, fun, and connection.

We're proud to support this amazing event alongside the Shaker Heights City School District and help welcome our students and families back for another great year.

A special thank you to Aramark for providing dinner, the Cleveland Department of Water for bringing the Water Buggy to help everyone stay cool and hydrated throughout the evening, and all of our community partners and volunteers whose time and support made this event such a success.

We also want to give a special shoutout to our Shaker High School student-athletes from Swimming & Diving, Lacrosse, Football, Softball, Basketball, Boys Soccer, Girls Soccer, Field Hockey, and Strength & Conditioning for volunteering their time and representing Raider pride throughout the event. Your energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to serve our community made the evening even more special!

Here's to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year. We can't wait to see all that our students accomplish!
