Our campers finished with a bang—or rather, a snap—today, as they presented our patterns and board breaks for the parents. This lucky group will get to reprise their feats tonight at the Van Aken District, alongside MMTKD’s Black Belt Demo Team. Join us at 6:30pm at the VAD stage to see all the excitement!

What a wonderful weekend full of Taekwon-do and camaraderie! We were happy to host the annual TKDC Intensive Weekend, grateful to all the Grandmasters and Masters and students who made it such a success. And thanks to the restaurants who kept us fed and fueled: Sam Sylk pizzaBOGO Bialy’s Bagels Cleveland and China Dragon.

From our last promotion test: Black Belts suspended mid-air during their interim test; students of all ages focused on doing their best; and friends enjoying each other’s company. Taekwondo is about so much more than self-defense. It’s self-enrichment.
Here is Master Duncan Bayless-Marr crushing it at the 2026 UTA Grand Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma last month. He competed against 3rd and 4th Dans in his age bracket from across the country.
We have been so busy this summer, with camps, tournaments, special events, and promotions tests. I will try to catch you all up with some video and photos this week, starting with our newest 3rd Dan, Joe Calabrese, completing four breaks while balancing on one foot. Way to go, Joe! (How’s that for a new nickname?)
