From the stage to the front of the room....Ohio Contemporary Ballet is proud to announce the promotion of company dancer Zachary Tuazon to Rehearsal Director! As a performer, choreographer, educator, and musician, he brings a well-rounded perspective to this new chapter. His deep understanding of choreographic craft combined with a keen eye for coaching makes him an excellent fit to guide our company dancers. Zach spent nine years performing with Minnesota Dance Theatre before joining Ohio Contemporary Ballet in 2023. Join us in congratulating him on the next steps of his career!

Elevate your partnering technique with our Pas de Deux Masterclass, led by Richard Dickinson at Ohio Contemporary Ballet in collaboration with Cleveland City Dance. These masterclasses dive into the artistry, trust, and athleticism of ballet partnering technique. Participants will have the opportunity to practice their technique with company dancers.

We are presenting this as an opportunity for community dancers from all studios to come and expand their skills in a professional setting. Join us September 25th & October 9th, 5:00-7:00pm at the OCBallet Center. This class welcomes intermediate/advanced dancers ages 13+ that are proficient on pointe. No partner needed!

$30/class or $50 for both. Space is limited—register today https://ocballet.org/pas-de-deux-masterclass/

We return to Playhouse Square tonight, proud to share the stage with our community. The Dance Showcase, presented by Terry & Sheldon Adelman, celebrates Northeast Ohio's dancers and companies on one remarkable stage. OCBallet will perform From the Street, an abstract ballet that explores the emotional toll that we feel after a tragedy. The performance will feature live accompaniment by international award-winning concert pianist Jiayan Sun. This show is sold out, and we look forward to welcoming a full house!

At Ohio Contemporary Ballet's Youth Academy, your child isn't just a face in a crowded room. Our teachers know each child and provide them with coaching and challenges to develop their technique, confidence, and cooperation.

And when the season builds toward performance, they'll take everything they've learned and share it with an audience on stage.
