We read some books about leaves this week, so we went out and collected them to create our own masterpieces! This activity uses fine and gross motor skills to collect leaves and create art. We used language and cognitive skills to read, discuss, get creative and imagine as well!

Fine motor skills aid in the development of intelligence! They are an important part of learning skills like coordination between hands and eyes! We play with play dough nearly everyday to help develop these skills. They also use their imaginations to create and role play with play dough. Fine motor skills are necessary to develop pencil holding and writing skills.

This month our play dough theme is pie factory and they create various pies and pastries using the tools provided with the play dough! This is the early morning crew today… missing a few but I’m trying to showcase the activities we do and why we do them, so if you don’t see your kiddo in the pictures, I will get to them soon! 🫶🏼

Someone stopped by to show me his first day of kindergarten outfit and water bottle! So excited for all the back to school pictures and new chapters! I hate to see the kiddos leave but I love that they are thriving in the next phase in their little journeys. So blessed to be a part of it! ❤️❤️🙏🏼🙏🏼 Happy Back to School!
