🚒❤️ A BIG thank-you to the Seymour Fire Department! ❤️🚒

Thank you for welcoming our kiddos to the fire station today! We had such a great time learning all about fire safety! 🧯🔥

Our students got to:
🚒 Tour the fire station and see where the firefighters work!
📞 Learn the importance of calling 911 in an emergency.
🏠 Talk about why it’s important to have smoke detectors and fire extinguishers in our homes.
👨‍🚒 See what a firefighter looks like dressed in all their protective gear so they know not to be afraid if they ever see one during an emergency!

We are so thankful to the Seymour Fire Department for taking the time to teach our students these important lessons and help them feel safe and prepared! ❤️

Thank you for all you do to keep our community safe! 🚒👏

🫒🇬🇷 A Taste of Ancient Greece! 🇬🇷🫒

Second grade has been reading and learning all about ancient Greek culture, and recently they got to experience a little taste of Greece for themselves!

Students sampled three different types of olives as part of their learning. Let’s just say… the reviews were mixed! 😂🫒 Many of our second graders discovered that olives might not be their new favorite food, but they were great sports and gave them a try!

We love finding ways to bring what we are reading and learning about to life! 📚🌎

🎃🔺🟠 Pumpkin Shape Fun in Kindergarten! 🟩🎃

Our kindergarten students put their shape skills to work with a little fall fun! 🍂 They practiced identifying and using different shapes to create their very own pumpkins.

Learning shapes is even more fun when you can turn them into a pumpkin masterpiece! 🎃✂️🧡

❤️ Big Kids Helping Little Kids! ❤️

We love seeing our students learn from one another! Our 4th graders spent some time helping our kindergarten students during small group time. They were wonderful role models—encouraging our youngest learners, helping them practice their skills, and showing lots of patience and kindness along the way.

There’s something pretty special about watching our oldest students help our youngest students learn and grow! 🥰📚
