It’s Magnoliacea Monday! Today we installed a tulip tree as a memorial for Richard Montgomery, and installed a 45gal ‘Bracken’s Brown Beauty’ southern magnolia at both Gaiser and Shields parks in Seymour. All are being watered on a slow trickle to help them establish during the heat.

This tree that we began managing in 2017 measures 68” at breast height and has had no new dieback since 2020.
