Something exciting is happening when we get back from winter break! The snow can’t mess with the PTA Elves! On 1/5 they will be making the rounds hand delivering the candy cane grams to students and staff. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and winter break. We cannot thank our CLS parents enough for all that you’ve done this year. We will see you in the New Year!

Thank you SO much to the local businesses and CLS parents who donated gift cards (and merch) for the gift card giveaway. We are so excited to make our teachers and staff feel special and appreciated! With the snow day starting our break earlier than anticipated we are having to postpone the giveaway until we come back. However, we still wanted to give our wonderful local businesses a shout out! The PTA elves made the rounds with coffee and treats for the staff bright and early this Tuesday morning!

A special thanks to Quarry Coffee Co for the generous donation, to our amazing parent volunteer Megan for getting the donation to the school, and to Sabrina our PTA secretary for arranging everything.

Also HUGE THANK YOU to Mr. Freund
& Mr. Velleco for allowing us to walk the halls with the carts this morning. The staff was so surprised and it will definitely be something we repeat in the future!

Mrs. Daly & Mrs. Cole brought some holiday cheer with an amazing gingerbread hallway display! Perfect timing for the gingerbread house event this Friday!

The countdown to winter break is on! Time to celebrate with a Holiday Spirit Week!

Monday, December 15 - "Monday is Wicked!" Inspired by the movie, Wicked, students and staff are to choose Pink or Green and dress accordingly.

Tuesday, December 16 - "Show Your Antlers!" - Tuesday will be a day to wear holiday/seasonal headwear or a winter hat.

Wednesday, December 17 - "Weather Forecast: There Will Be a Blizzard Wednesday!" - This was one of our most popular theme days last year, so we're bringing it back to have a "white-out" - All are encouraged to wear white!

Thursday, December 18 - "Holiday Fiction Comes to Life!" Students and staff can dress like their favorite seasonal character from television or a movie; if some one prefers, they may instead wear clothing with seasonal and/or winter elements - snowflakes, sledding, skiing, trees, character prints, etc.

Friday, December 19 will be Gingerbread Day, with Gingerbread houses, villages, etc. completed and hopefully able to be viewed by all.

Monday, December 22 - Festive Sweater Day, a CLS tradition.

Tuesday, December 23 - Polar Express Day - another CLS tradition, with the day before the December Break being Pajamas Day. The school will also participate in the annual CLS Winter Sing-along, led by Mr. Woolley.

Help us reach an Oprah level of gifting to our wonderful and most deserving CLS staff and teachers! This is our chance to spoil the people who spend almost as much time with our kids as we do, thank you as always for any and all support. Calling all local businesses and Chatfield Lopresti parents!

It’s that time of year again! The week before Christmas break, names of teachers and staff members are pulled at random to win gift cards that are donated by parents and local businesses. We are looking for gift card donations of any amount. Please send them in with your child or contact Sabrina Suarez at [email protected] if you are a local business interested in donating.

We have close to 100 staff members at Chatfield and the more we collect the more staff members we can have win! Thank you in advance!

Help make a list of who they want to shop for and how much money they have to spend for each person. This is a great math, business, planning and organizing opportunity for your student.

Another MCM Pies and Cookie Dough fundraiser and Stuff a Bus complete! Thank you to everyone who ordered or donated, with a special thanks to those who volunteered their time on a cold rainy Saturday. Those volunteers helped us to unbox, sort, and distribute the items as efficiently as possible which made the day fly by.

Stuff a bus was such a huge success that we ended up having to shut down early due to exceeding our collection goal. The dozens of boxes full of all the extra items we had after making our sides kits will all going to be donated to the Little Free Pantry on Skokorat over the next few days.
