📢 THE SOLUTION TO THE TEACHER SHORTAGE IS NOT LOWERING THE REQUIREMENTS

It is improving the conditions.

Districts across the country are now hiring people without degrees to stand in front of classrooms.

Not because the job got easier.

Because the people who are actually qualified for it keep leaving.

And instead of asking why they keep leaving, the answer is to find people who do not know yet what they are walking into.

Lower the bar.

Fill the seat.

Move on.

The teachers who left did not leave because the job was too hard.

They left because the job was hard and the support was gone and the pay did not come close to matching what was being asked of them.

Solving the shortage without solving those things does not fix anything.

It just means a new group of people finds out the hard way.
