Job description

Full Time or Part Time permanent local work in Seymour, CT or Meriden, CT -
(satellite training Facility)
Local only. No driving logs, no heavy lifting, no working later than 7PM, no overnights, and NO teaching experience is required!

We will train you how to teach our students maneuvers, shifting, double clutching, pre-trip inspections, and how to grade them. You must be patient, speak well, and have good interpersonal skills.

The school is open from 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday and 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday/Sunday. We do one-on-one training in hour and a half sessions so we are flexible and can work with most schedules!

Monday through Friday Class shifts

7:30-9:00, 9:00-10:30 10;30-12:00, 1:00-2:30, 2:30-4:00, 4:00-5:30, 5:30-7:00

(very limited 5:30-7:00 shifts during winter due to visibility/darkness)

Saturday and Sunday Class Shifts

7:30-9:00, 9:00-10:30, 10:30-12:00, 12:00-1:30, 1:30-3:00

Duties:

Using our materials and methods train students how to perform our pre-trip inspection, operate CDL Class A or B vehicles, perform maneuvers, and drive on public roads (never more than a 5-10 mile radius).
Evaluate and grade students based on training performance
No teaching experience is required, we will train you but we do require:

You must have a CDL Class A License with valid medical certification
You must have 3 years of recent verifiable CDL Class A experience (required by State of CT Department of Higher Education)
Clean driving record and criminal background (aged minor offenses may be considered)
Pay rate starts 20.00+ and is commensurate with experience. Full time benefits include vacation, paid holidays, and 401k with employer match.
