Laini Marenick is a professional musician and piano teacher based in Seymour, CT. She has more than 10 years experience and gives in-home lessons in Trumbull, Monroe, Shelton, Seymour, Oxford, Derby, and Ansonia. Laini teaches students of all ages and abilities, and tailors her lessons to each student's individual needs and interests. While the fundamentals are always a focus of learning the piano, Laini also believes that it is very important for lessons to be fun and engaging. With extensive experience in performance, songwriting, and singing, Laini often incorporates those elements into her work with students, if the student expresses interest in any of those areas. Laini also is actively performing with her band Laini and the Wildfire, and her success as an artist has been a motivator to many of her current students. Additionally, Laini has an understanding of child and adolescent development that goes beyond the scope of teaching, as she holds a degree as a licensed clinical social worker, and has specific experience working with children and teens in the mental health field.
