Little Leopard Daycare In-home childcare

Today was the last day of Little Leopard Daycare—a truly bittersweet moment! Over the years, I’ve had the joy of meeting wonderful families, caring for the sweetest little ones, and creating countless cherished memories that I will hold close to my heart forever.

While I will no longer be offering group care for multiple families, I’m grateful to continue my passion through personalized, more one-on-one care, for a couple of my current families who were able to work with my own family’s new schedule.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your trust, support, and love over these past three years. It has meant the world to me!

This sweet girl has been diaper free for a few weeks now!! Today we celebrate this official Big Girl! I am so proud of you, Myla!! 🎉

She had a special request for a pretty pink and blue cookie cake with strawberries, so I created her a custom cookie cake😅

I began my daycare business in May 2022 with a heartfelt desire to provide quality care for little ones while maintaining a job that fit the needs of my own family. For those who know me well, you’ll know I’ve always prioritized work that revolves around my family, my children’s schedules and well-being. I deeply believe in creating a life centered on family.

This chapter of running the daycare has been an incredible blessing in so many ways. It allowed me to stay home and support my children with online school while also caring for and loving some of the most amazing little ones. Over nearly three years, I’ve been fortunate to create countless sweet memories with both past and present families. I’m immensely grateful to every family who entrusted me with their precious children—it’s an honor I’ll cherish forever.

However, as with all seasons, change is inevitable. My family is now preparing to step into a new chapter. Recently, my husband accepted a job offer that comes with many wonderful opportunities for our family, but it also requires us to make adjustments. One thing we are unwilling to sacrifice is the time we have together as a family. Unfortunately, this means the daycare no longer aligns with the needs of my family at this stage.

While closing my daycare is bittersweet, I’m filled with excitement for what this next season will bring—more time with my own children as they grow older. My heart has been yearning to savor the time we have left in their childhood and to ensure we remain close as they transition into adulthood.

There may be a future where I return to the daycare world, perhaps as a grandmother, when the time feels right. But for now, I’m saying goodbye to this beautiful chapter and welcoming a new one, filled with opportunities to grow and cherish moments with my family. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey—it has truly been a gift.

Looking for something to do this Saturday? Come to the Seymour Christmas Parade of Lights. After the parade is over, head over to the lot behind the K of C and see some of the parade vehicles up close. FOP Lodge 108 will be serving up some FREE hot chocolate, cookies donated by Walmart Seymour, candy canes, and peppermint nougats. To top the evening off, watch the fireworks sponsored by the City of Seymour Parks and Recreation. Hope to see you there!
