πŸ¦‰ HONORING EXCELLENCE: 2026 Wall of Fame Inductees πŸ¦‰

Last night we celebrated the 30th Anniversary Seymour High School Wall of Fame Class! From 1928 to 1990, this year's inductees span generations, yet share a common thread: unwavering dedication to service, leadership, and making a lasting difference in the lives of others.

Please join us in congratulating:
β€’ Blanche Maddex Smith, Class of 1928 β€’ John Richey, Class of 1965 β€’ John Beatty, Class of 1968 β€’ Sandra Monroe, Class of 1971 β€’ Rexanne Ude, Class of 1975 β€’ Greg Prange, Class of 1979 β€’ John Lewis V, Class of 1989

These seven distinguished alumni and family designees spent the day with usβ€”sharing lunch with students, delivering inspiring speeches at our school convocation, touring the building, and connecting with our Seymour family.

The formal induction dinner showcased the incredible talents of our students: our culinary arts capstone students prepared an amazing meal, musicians performed beautiful piano selections, and textile students created stunning centerpieces. The evening concluded with a halftime introduction at the Owls football game!

Their accomplishments in ministry, business, education, athletics, healthcare, civic leadership, and beyond remind us that the true measure of success is not what we achieve for ourselves, but what we give back to our communities.

Today in Mr. Dennis's Chemistry class, students officially got permission to set things on fire (in the name of science, of course).

Our chemists were running flame tests to explore how different elements and minerals emit distinct colors when heated.

A huge thank you to all the students who showed up in full force to pack the student section and cheer on our student athletes. Let’s keep this momentum going for the rest of the season!

It is always great to see students having a positive impact in their community. Well done Kenzie!

Anchor House now offers a pet section of their food pantry, fulfilling an idea proposed by a local student.

Proud moment for Seymour Schools! πŸ¦‰πŸ’œ

Paul Ruddick of Owl Manufacturing was honored with the Rising Star Award at the Jackson County United Way Leadership Breakfast β€” and for good reason. This summer he poured time and leadership into a class project restoring a United Way bus so help can reach residents across Jackson County. Plus β€” Seymour Community Schools was recognized as a top 10 fundraising campaign! πŸ™ŒπŸ€ Owls Will.

Looks like Evie has officially started work on her new mural in town, and we are so excited to see it come to life. Mr. Robinson was on-site to help her get the first outlines on the wall. These moments of creativity are what make our town so vibrant.

We can’t wait to see the finished masterpiece from Evie! πŸ‘πŸ‘

πŸ¦‰πŸŽΎ Milestone evening. Congrats birds.
