In honor of the recent rebrand of my school, I'm doing a summer lesson special. No registration fees this summer and all music lessons will be $100 a month for July and August. Price applies to 30 minute lessons once a week. One-on-one art lessons are 15% off for summer, this means you get 4 one hour lessons a month for $102. Enrollment is currently open for acoustic and electric guitar, piano, voice, and drums. I accept all ages of students from the very young to the very matured. Special needs students are welcome and encouraged to enroll. The first lesson is free to try for new students. As a rebranding special, the $25 registration fee is waived through summer. Hello everyone. Tomorrow I will be sending out a Google form and posting a link to it everywhere I can. This form is a questionnaire to help me find out which types of online classes you all might be interested in, such as one-time workshops, mini or full-length courses, memberships, and which topics you'd be most interested in learning. I would appreciate max participation in filling out the form. This will help me know which courses and topics I need to focus on to serve you better. As previously posted, I have been working on a rebrand for my school. As conditions with the economy continue to worsen and the situation with my current location remains, it seems diversification will be the best option for now.

As I do enjoy teaching music, it is not my only passion in the creative sphere. I love art, in fact, it's rather addicting. But I can't think of a better addiction to have in difficult times than one that brings comfort to the mind and soul in the purest form.

I also love writing. I find it to be extremely therapeutic. As an author of 5 published books (and more in the works) and former book editor, proofreader, and book & cover designer, I have a lot of experience in the world of writing and publishing. I have made covers for several other authors as well as done their book setup and assisted them with publishing.

I'm taking all of my previous knowledge and experience with music, art, and writing and turning them into online and in person courses and workshops. I am working on choosing a platform where you will be able to access and view online lessons, recorded and live, purchase digital and physical products, and offer your support of the school through one-time or recurring donations.

I will either be changing the name of my current YouTube channel associated with Rising Stars Music School or deleting that account and starting from scratch. More on that later as I work on all of the many details to rebranding.

I am trying to get a website back up but hosting through a reputable company is a bit expensive, so it may be some time before I can get that back up. For the time being, the site I choose to host the lessons and other content will have to serve as the website unless I can find an affordable option that will serve the purpose of everything.

That's it for now. I will update again soon as more progress is made.

Projects that are in the works.
1) I’m creating a songwriting course that will be a one-time purchase, learn at your own pace online course. My goal is to have it released before the end of summer.
2) I’m putting the finishing touches on an online art class for kids that will be available starting this month.
3) I’m still working on creating my online art membership that will focus on using creativity as a way to deal with stress, anxiety, and depression.
4) I’ve decided to try to combat the continuing lax in students practicing between music lessons by giving out regular progress reports to parents on their child’s musical abilities and how they’re performing during lessons. These will start going out this month.

My online banjo and uke courses have been put on hold due to the fact that I’m having to work multiple jobs to survive in this messed up economy, and there’s only so many hours in a day. I hope I will be able to get back to these soon.

Youth voice lessons are open again. I'm accepting students between the ages of 4 to 18 yrs old. I teach beginner to intermediate level voice lessons.
Voice lessons are good for so much more than just singing. Many public speakers take voice lessons to improve their voice quality, pronunciation and annunciation, breath control, and their posture when speaking. Voice lessons can also build confidence and self-esteem.
Voice lessons range from 30 minutes for the younger age groups up to one hour for the older age groups. The audition lesson is free to evaluate the readiness of the student for lessons. Call today to set up your child's audition.
