School Liaison Program - Seymour Johnson AFB The School Liaison is an advocate for the educational needs of our military children. COMMENT POLICY:

He/She networks and partners with the public school system, private schools and home schools to assist Seymour Johnson Air Force Base school age children in obtaining educational opportunities. We Owe You the Real Story on Our New Building

Picture it: your Scholar walking into a brand-new building for the first time. Backpack on. Eyes wide. Ready.

That moment matters. It's why we're writing to you ourselves, not letting this news travel through the grapevine.

Moving into a new home for our Scholars means juggling construction crews, internet and phone lines, furniture deliveries, and a dozen details that all have to land in the right order. Right now, we're not quite there. And we would rather ask for a little more of your patience than rush your Scholar into a space that isn't ready to receive them.

So here's what's changing, and what's staying the same:

Open House

K-4 (Main Facility)
Open House: NEW: Monday, Aug 24, 4:30-6:00 PM
First Day of School :
NEW: Tuesday, Aug 25

Grade5-6 (Satellite)
Open House: Thursday, Aug 20, 4:30-6:30 PM - NO CHANGE
First Day of School: NEW: Tuesday, Aug 25

We know this isn't the news you wanted, and we're sorry for that. But some things are worth waiting a few extra days for. A building your Scholar walks into and feels proud and prepared from day one is one of them.

Kindergarten families with a staggered entry day of Tuesday, Aug 25: your teacher is reaching out to you personally this week.
