Botics team, originally the Sewickley Academy Panthers, is a 10 person robotics team sponsored by FIRST Robotics and the Home and School Association at Sewickley Academy. McCloskey, the team consists of President Billy Sullivan, Vice President Sarah Duplaga, Secretary Connor Ward, Avery Lesesne, Rahul Pokharna, Josh Thomas, Savannah Henry, Barrett Fowkes, and Amaris Gonzalez. During the 2011-2012
school year, the team intended on creating a robot that played basketball. Although unsuccessful, the team placed 29th out of 45 teams at the Pittsburgh Regional competition hosted by the University of Pittsburgh. This year, the team plans on sizing down and doing the FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) competition hosted by Robert Morris University.
