Our final chapel and virtue of gratitude was presented by our wonderful eighth graders! They used science, skits, visuals and scripture to explain the beauty of gratitude and the dangers of an ungrateful heart. We are so grateful for our eighth grade students and the example they set for our student body.

A huge shoutout to POW for organizing a beautiful and fun book fair for the students this past week. Thank you to all who volunteered and helped students shop. There is nothing like bringing home a new book, joyful learning for sure!📚

This week Pittsburgh will host the NFL Draft, but we have even more exciting news! Watermark has been nominated to be a grant recipient through the Silent Count campaign. We are incredibly honored to be a part of their team💛🖤 As part of The Silent Count campaign, Troy and Theodora Polamalu and Rob and Cindy Citrone have selected 33 Pittsburgh nonprofits to receive a $33,000 grant! April’s virtue(s) are repentance & forgiveness. We had our very own Mr. Chris and Mr. Alan share with us what God’s scriptures have to say about the importance of these two things. Jesus came and rebuilt our lost connection with God through His death and resurrection on the cross. We are forgiven because of His work. Repentance is our response to His loving kindness and this clears the way for His light to continue to shine in our lives.💙
