Is that ... SNOW!?! Not quite, but the Minutemen football team put the deep freeze on Kingsway Friday night, winning 35-27 to advance to the state Group 5 championship for the first time in school history. A packed Tom Brown Field brought the noise -- and the snow on a Christmas-themed night -- as the team improved to 13-0 on the season, adding to the school record for wins in a season.
WTHS will face Passaic Tech in the state final next weekend, date and time still to be determined!

Washington Township Superintendent of Schools Dr. Eric Hibbs proudly announced the 2024-25 Support Staff Professionals of the Year on Wednesday, November 12th, marking the seventh consecutive year that the District has singled out employees outside of certificated staff for recognition.
The 11 honorees will be celebrated at the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. in the Eileen Abbott Central Administration Building (206 East Holly Avenue, Sewell, N.J.).
“Our schools do not function, and our students do not thrive, without the invaluable input of our support staff professionals,” Dr. Hibbs said. “Their extraordinary efforts, often behind the scenes and without fanfare, are essential in optimizing our daily operations and play an important role in the success of our students and staff. We congratulate these unsung heroes for this well-deserved recognition and thank them for their dedicated service.”
