GCVTEA members are making a difference in the high demand vocational and technical education fields!

“Whether you want to be a hairdresser or a doctor,” said Superintendent Michael Dicken, “students are coming here to pursue all career options. Our goal is to get students out to work or to college.”

To Members of the Gloucester County Vocational-Technical Education Association and the Gloucester County Institute of Technology community:

We hope this message finds you safe and well. After the past few weeks of working to make sure that the safety and health of our members, and the students of GCIT, is being protected and safe-guarded by the school administration, it is the opinion of the GCVTEA Executive Committee that the school’s plan, while not perfect, is in compliance with all of the relevant guidelines necessary for a proper reopening of the school for staff on Monday, August 31st. The Executive Committee has therefore expressed no objections that would prevent the opening of the school for staff on Monday, August 31st.

The Executive Committee intends to withhold judgment on the school’s compliance with all relevant guidelines regarding the return of students to the school building, pending the first two in-service days and the events therein.

We thank the members of the GCVTEA and the community for their continued patience and positive outlook on this long process of returning to school and work, and hope that all members of our community will work together to give our students the best opportunities possible.
