The annual activities fair is your best chance to explore the many opportunities Concordia University, Nebraska has to offer for you to get involved and find community. At the fair, you will have the chance to speak to representatives of all our student led clubs and organizations and see which ones you may be interested in joining. Many other university groups will be present as well, like our Student Life Office, global opportunities and others offering ways for you to get involved on campus and around the world. Sign up for intramurals, get organized with a first-year coordinator, volunteer with campus ministry and much more! We look forward to seeing you all at the activities fair this year!

Today we are shining the spotlight on the Pre-Health Club! Students studying to enter any health profession after Concordia University are welcome to join the Pre-Health Club, a group designed to help students support each other as they prepare for medical school and their future professions. The group also coordinates activities that give members opportunities to gain practical experience in the medical field.
Among the group’s past activities are a trip to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha (including the Lied Transplant Center), volunteering for Tabitha Hospice in Seward County and assisting with the Seward Memorial Hospital health fair. The club also brings in speakers from the medical and allied health professions to talk to students and answer questions about various aspects of the health fields.
One of the club’s main goals is to prepare students for graduate studies. The club establishes a network to assist students in preparing for the MCAT, completing applications to medical and other graduate schools and reviewing graduate school requirements. Additionally, upperclassmen share their experiences in order to help younger students make decisions about what field of study to pursue and also share insight on their time in Concordia’s pre-health programs.

Today we are shining the spotlight on the National Association for Music Educators Club. NAfME at Concordia is a chapter of a national organization that supports music educators and advocates for equitable access to music education. Members are primarily Music Education and Music students. The club exists at Concordia to serve the Music Education Students by building community within the club and providing professional development resources and opportunities. They also work to serve students within the music department as a whole, and to engage the entire campus with educational and fun music related events.

Today we are shining the spotlight on Mission Minded Students! The purpose of MMS is to promote missions - including awareness, support and involvement in mission organizations and opportunities - for Concordia students. The MMS group holds meetings, invites guest speakers and promotes opportunities for local, domestic and international mission activities throughout the school year and summer.
Besides attending meetings and hearing from students or missionaries on their mission experiences, students have the opportunity to participate in the Beautiful Feet Mission Conference held annually at one of the Concordia campuses.
You can also participate in on campus outreach activities like packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, putting together health kits for children or distributing blessing bags for homeless individuals. You can also go farther by joining a team to serve in places like Alaska, Africa, Guatemala, China, Poland, Uruguay, etc.

Today we are shining the spotlight on the Pre-Seminary Club! The goal of the club is to promote fellowship, education, spirituality, maturity and faith of those who seek to be pastors in The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The club also holds fellowship activities and sponsors service events on and off campus.

Any Concordia student interested in studying for pastoral ministry in The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod is eligible for membership, and all Concordia students interested in theological issues are invited to come to meetings and participate in discussion. The club meets on Wednesday evenings in the pre-seminary room (Founders 203) to discuss various topics pertaining to theology and pastoral practice. Refreshments are often served. In addition to weekly meetings, the pre-sem club hosts a retreat for its members each semester. Follow on Facebook for more info!
