About the Conversation:
This gathering is an initial conversation - designed as an open, participatory event where we will collectively set the stage for a possible series focused on the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Ocean Science and Education. Together, we’ll identify key questions, opportunities, and challenges for the emerging integration of these disciplines. We invite your ideas for topics and formats for a series of conversations and deeper exploration throughout the year.

Whether you are a student, educator, scientist, policy expert, or business leader, your voice and perspective are vital. We aim to ensure that this potential series reflects the breadth and diversity of the ocean community, and that everyone has a seat at the table as we chart new territory in AI and ocean literacy.

5 Feb 2020 - The General Assembly through resolution 73/292 decided to convene the 2020 United Nations Conference to Support the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development. The overarching theme of the Conference is "Scaling up ocean action based on science and innovation for the implementation of Goal 14: stocktaking, partnerships and solutions".
