At Camp Curiosity, we had a Birthday Party Extravaganza!! Campers enjoyed a special birthday story, cupcakes with candles, being showered with confetti, book presents, and hit a piñata full of candy! What a fun filled day!! 🥳🎉🧁🍬🍭📚

SES Camp Curiosity campers had a fabulous time at the University of South’s Farm! We learned about farm goats, composting, the live cycle of worms, planting seeds, aquaponics farming, honey bees, and even learned how to make our own fresh veggie dip! Yum!! Thank you so much to the University Farm for letting us come! Our campers loved learning about the Farm!

Camp Curiosity had a fantastic time with Mary Priestley at Abbo’s Alley for story-time and writing activities! We learned about the special jobs bees have and even learned about how to draw the special book character, “Bea!” Campers enjoyed a special picnic and roasted marshmallows for s’mores. We ended our fun experience by planting flowers at Abbo’s Alley. Thank you so much Mrs. Priestley for such a wonderful camp experience!

Camp Curiosity took a walking field trip to Sewanee’s Angel Park for a special book buddy activity. Campers had a secret mystery book placed in their backpacks. At the park, campers had to find another camper with a matching book. Campers then sat on their reading mats and enjoyed reading with their special book buddies. 🐯❤️📚

We had a wonderful Bee presentation by John Ferrell. Curious Campers learned all about bees and how they make honey! We even got to see a real beehive and queen bee! Thank you John Ferrell for coming and for the yummy honey sticks and stickers! Our campers LOVED learning about bees and bee keeping! ❤️🐝

SES Camp Curiosity Campers learned about the science and chemistry of cooking today with the fabulous Mrs. Bachman! The students read and followed recipes, measured all the ingredients, and added the dough/batter to our cooking sheets! Campers baked yummy buttermilk biscuits, chocolate chip cookies, muffins, and chocolate cake! A special thank you to Jennifer Kelso Bachman for bring the cooking supplies and leading this very special cooking activity! SES Camp Curiosity campers had a fantastic time at the STREAM presentation at Franklin County High School today! We saw many awesome science experiments, including making elephant toothpaste! There was also a fun puppet show! A special thank you to FC STREAM camp for hosting this exciting event! Our campers loved it!
