Our first month of the Advent 2026 semester has been full with Babson Center programming and events. In early September, we welcomed the C’30 Carey Fellows with a special dinner and reception. After a sunny afternoon of photos in Guerry Garth, students and staff met in Convocation Hall for dinner and drinks in honor of our newest cohort of business students.

Join Will Matson, C’12 and Co-CEO of Apex Service Partners, for a special presentation entitled “Beyond the Mountain: An Entrepreneur and CEO’s Journey.” He will present TOMORROW, 9/24 at 4:30 PM in the duPont Torian Room.

Matson will share insights from his path into entrepreneurship and discuss how his liberal arts foundation has allowed him to think broadly, embrace new challenges, and turn ideas into meaningful results.

The Babson Center for Global Commerce welcomes Will Matson, C’12, Co-CEO of Apex Service Partners, for a special presentation this Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 4:30 PM in the duPont Torian Room. Matson’s talk entitled “Beyond the Mountain: An Entrepreneur and CEO’s Journey” is presented in collaboration with the Department of Economics and Finance.

Will Matson earned his bachelor’s degree at Sewanee before completing an MBA at the Wharton School and a Master of Law at the University of Pennsylvania. After working in investment banking, private equity, and management consulting, Matson co-founded Apex Service Partners, the nation’s largest residential services company. As Co-CEO, Matson leads a company employing more than 13,000 HVAC, plumbing, and electrical technicians across 48 states and generating more than $3 billion in annual revenue. He credits his Sewanee experience as crucial to his development as a businessman and leader.

Matson will share insights from his path into entrepreneurship and reflect upon how his liberal arts foundation has allowed him to think broadly, embrace new challenges, and turn ideas into meaningful results. All are invited to attend!
