Join us next week for a Community Fast on Thursday 3/21 in coordination with the Fast of Esther, Lent, and Ramadan. We are encouraging people to join in the fast in whatever way they would like, traditionally this has been food, but we also invite giving up an afternoon coffee, a personal habit, or even adding something to your day! As part of this fast, each participating faith organization will be collecting donations for their NGO of choice. You can find us at McClurg tabling for lunch and then we invite you to join us for a Break Fast at the Social Lodge that evening!

For our Interfaith Dinner this month, we’re going to be hosting a more casual social gathering at this Tuesday, October 25th, at 7pm 🃏💓🍂 We’ll be gathering around the bonfire, sharing stories relating to Tarot and other forms of Divination which seek insight into the future or forms of spiritual connection. This can include astrology, herb work, candle work, runes, and many more, and they can be spiritual, spooky, or something else entirely!

Since we’ll be starting later than usual we’ll be providing s’mores and cider rather than a full dinner. Be sure to bundle up, and bring as many friends as you like!

Sewanee Interfaith and All Saints' Chapel are excited to announce two events this coming weekend! Sunday, August 21st at 9am, the Interfaith Council will be hosting an Interfaith Breakfast in Convocation Hall! 🎉🍳🥞 This space will be focused on helping new students discover religious, spiritual, and belief-based inclusion and diversity at Sewanee. We will also talk about some of the programming and events we hold during the school year! In addition, for those interested in learning more about the All Saints’ community at Sewanee, there will be a morning service of Christian worship inside the Chapel, also at 9am. If you’d like to attend the service and still get in touch with Interfaith, please don’t be afraid to DM 🤗

🌙 Ramadan is a month of fasting, prayer, and reflection in the Muslim tradition and begins tomorrow, April 2, and ends on May 1. For many observing Muslims, the month is marked by fasting from sunup to sundown. Faculty, staff, and students in our community are embarking on this journey of fasting, prayer, and reflection. Ramadan Mubarak, everyone!

Silas McClung will be facilitating a discussion about death and rebirth, inspired by Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent in the Christian tradition.
