Helping to make the best better for our youth of Sevier County!

What a fun and delicious two days at Sevier County 4-H Cooking Camp! πŸ³πŸπŸ“

Our young chefs spent the week building kitchen confidence while learning important life skills like food safety, measuring, knife skills, teamwork, and nutrition. From breakfast burritos and personal pizzas to homemade biscuits, chicken alfredo, garden salads, and strawberry shortcake cups, campers got hands-on experience creating meals from scratch!

The best parts of camp were watching youth try new foods and gain confidence in the kitchen. Cooking is so much more than making food β€” it teaches responsibility, problem-solving, creativity, and independence.

A big thank you to our teen leaders and volunteers who helped make this camp a success. We are proud of these young cooks and can’t wait to see what they make next! πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³

While many of our Sevier County 4-H members were away at Junior 4-H Camp, another group of outstanding youth was representing us at Junior High Academic Conference at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville! πŸ€πŸ“š

Junior High Academic Conference provides 4-H members with the opportunity to expand their project area knowledge through hands-on learning experiences led by university scientists, specialists, and faculty. Participants explore classrooms, laboratories, and outdoor learning environments while developing new skills, exploring career opportunities, and experiencing college life firsthand.

The conference is designed to recognize outstanding 4-H members, provide academic training related to their project areas, encourage career exploration in agriculture and family and consumer sciences, and connect youth with other 4-H members from across Tennessee who share similar interests.

We are proud of these young people for taking advantage of this incredible opportunity and representing Sevier County 4-H so well. Congratulations on your hard work and dedication to learning! πŸ’šβ˜˜οΈ
