Exciting News! Registration for the 2026-2027 School Year is Opening Soon!

Please see below for important dates and details to help secure your child’s spot. Registrations are time-stamped, and classes will be filled based on the order in which registrations are received. Families will be notified of class availability as registrations come in. There is a $100 non-refundable registration fee that will be collected once your spot has been confirmed. If you are an Alumni family and registering a child who is not currently enrolled please call the office with their name and birth date so we can add them to your Procare account.

Registration Timeline:
• January 6th at 10:00 AM: Registration opens for currently enrolled families.
“Currently enrolled families” are defined as families with at least one child actively attending SPUMCNS during the current school year. This designation also includes siblings of currently enrolled students, who are afforded the same consideration and status in registration process.
• January 9th - 12th: Registration opens for Alumni families and church members.
• January 13th: Registration opens for new families.

• 2’s Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:45 – 11:30
• 2’s Tuesday/Thursday 8:45 -11:30
• 3’s Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:45 -12:45
• 3’s Tuesday/Thursday 8:45 – 12:45
• 3 & 4’s Tuesday/Thursday Stay and Play Class (Open to M/W/F
students as an additional option)
• 4’s Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 8:45 – 2:00
• 4’s Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8:45 -2:00

Tuition will be billed through Tuition Express on the 1st of each month. The first tuition payment is due May 1, 2026. Subsequent monthly tuition payments will begin September 1st through April 1st. Members of Severna Park United Methodist Church will receive a September tuition credit of $50.00.

3 & 4 ’s Stay and Play T/Th 8:45 – 11:30 $170.00

Be sure to register early to secure your preferred class! SPUMCNS reserves the right to cancel or remove any class that does not meet the minimum required enrollment. Each class must reach the established minimum number of students in order to operate. If a class does not fill to the required capacity, families will be notified as soon as possible.

SPUMC Nursery School provides a rich educational program in an atmosphere of love, learning, and fun.  Our students learn through firsthand experiences in classrooms of no more than 14 students with one teacher and one assistant.

The annual staff Christmas party at SPUMCNS was a sparkling success, thanks to a unique and creative twist! We gathered at McFadden's for a memorable glass-blowing experience. Each staff member had the opportunity to create their own blown glass ornament, guided by expert artisans who shared their craft and helped bring each vision to life. The vibrant colors and delicate shapes reflected the warmth and camaraderie of the group. It was a perfect blend of holiday cheer and artistic expression, leaving everyone with a one-of-a-kind ornament to treasure for years to come. The experience was a reminder of the wonderful, talented, and innovative team at SPUMCNS – a perfect way to celebrate the season and each other!

2025/26 Registration Information

Exciting News! Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year is Opening Soon!

We are thrilled to announce that registration for the upcoming school year will open soon. Please see below for important dates and details to help secure your child’s spot. Registrations are time-stamped, and classes will be filled based on the order in which registrations are received. Families will be notified of class availability as registrations come in. There will be no tuition increases for the 2024/25 school year. If you are registering a child who is not currently enrolled please give the office their name so we can add them to your Procare account.

Registration Timeline:

January 7th at 10:00 AM: Registration opens for currently enrolled families.

January 10th - 13th: Registration opens for Alumni families and church members.

January 14th: Registration opens for new families.


Important Information:

Beginning January 10th, priority placement will no longer be available for currently enrolled families, so be sure to register before this date to secure your preferred class.


New for 2024-2025: Stay and Play Class!

We’re excited to offer a brand-new Stay and Play class for 3 & 4 year old children on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:45 AM – 11:30 AM. Our stay and play class focuses on social and emotional development with play-based activities that encourage creativity and interaction. Parents can drop off their 3 or 4 year old off in a safe, nurturing environment for a few hours of play and socialization. With a one-year commitment, this arrangement fosters a sense of community among students and families. They will read stories, play games, do crafts, and get all the love and play time children their age need. Lots of fun learning happens at Stay to Play! Students enrolled in the Monday/Wednesday/Friday program are welcome to enroll in this T/TH class as well! The cost for Stay & Play is $170.00 a month.

Congrats to all our 2024 SPUMC Nursery school pre-K graduates!! We wish you good luck in Kindergarten!

April was filled with all things animals! Our students learned about various kinds of animals throughout the month such as farm animals, zoo animals, ocean animals and even animals found in our backyards! We enjoyed a visit with a special animal guest where the students learned about different kinds of animals and even got to pet them!

We enjoyed being “On the Go” in March! The students enjoyed sharing all their favorite places they have traveled to! We also discussed all the modes of transportation used when traveling. In addition to being on the go, we talked about Easter and enjoyed a little celebration before starting spring break! We hope you all had a great Easter and enjoyed some family time over break!

February was filled with many opportunities for building and celebrating! We explored ways to build things, what kind of tools we can use in everyday life and also how our bodies move! The students enjoyed building cities and tunnels with boxes during box city week! In addition to building things, we celebrated Valentine’s Day and how much we love our friends and families. The students also became 100 days smarter!

January was filled with rhyming fun and snow! We learned all about nursery rhymes, fairy tales and folk tales. The 4’s classes even went on a gingerbread man hunt! Since January started out so snowy, students had many opportunities to explore the snow!
