Baltimore-Annapolis Kendo Dojo We practice Kendo, the art of Japanese fencing, and Iaido, the art of drawing the sword. Come join and learn with us! New members welcome!

We teach Kendo (the art of Japanese fencing). Through the practice of Kendo we seek to develop our bodies, mind, spirit and character. And by practicing we better understand our art, Japanese culture, history, and each other. Our instructors also teach Iaido (a sword art that focusing on developing our mental awareness and the ability to react quickly). The founding members of our dojo began pract

icing together in January 2000. Baltimore-Annapolis Kendo was founded in 2006 when we moved to a historic church [circa 1924] at the Severna Park Community Center. We host an annual kendo tournament and are always happy to see our many kendo friends and to make new ones. Baltimore-Annapolis Kendo is incorporated as a non-profit, non-stock entity. Our instructors are 100% volunteer and are not paid. Practice is open to the public for persons 12 years and older (for kendo) or 16 years and older (for iaido). Classes for those new to kendo or iaido begin on the first Monday of each month.

This is a reminder that our kendo tournament is coming up soon, and the registration deadline is May 30.

Please use this form to register for the June 13 tournament. The registration deadline is Saturday, May 30 (no forms will be accepted after that time). Once submitted, your form response can be updated any time prior to the registration deadline on May 30.
