Our very own CAT North alum, Deana Jones! From student to teacher, back to where it all began! Inspiring the next generation of Women in Industry! 💪🔧

🌟 Meet Deana Jones, our incredible Collision Repair instructor at the Center of Applied Technology North! A former student turned passionate educator, she's dedicated to providing enriching experiences for our students. From attending the DC Auto Show to visiting the Port of Baltimore, she's always seeking new learning opportunities. Recently, Deana has been forging strong community partnerships with organizations like the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association to create job opportunities for our students. Thanks to a grant from the Collision Repair Education Foundation, our program received new toolboxes, enhancing our learning environment. It’s an incredible honor to be recognized as a School of Distinction. A big congratulations to all of the staff at CAT North for their dedication to education and their school community!

The Center of Applied Technology North (CAT North) and South River High School have been named National Merit Schools of Distinction by Magnet Schools of America, the national association for magnet and theme-based schools.

Congratulations to all the finalists, but particularly to our very own Mr. Rose! So incredibly well deserved for all of his years of dedication to students, his staff and entire school community! The best Principal on either side of the Mississippi!

Four principals have been selected as finalists for the 2023-2024 George Arlotto Leadership Award, given annually to the Anne Arundel County Public Schools Principal of the Year.

The finalists, determined by AACPS’ Office of School Performance, are:

CAT North's very own Mr. Gross! Impacting communities both inside and outside of the classroom. We can't wait to see his new Barbershop!

David started A Kings Barbershop after his previous shop closed down. Now when he's not lining up his clients, he's teaching them how to cut hair themselves.
