Eric Carle, Creator Of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar,' Has Died

One of my favorite children's author. I was able to do a whole unit in Spanish with his classics. Always a fun time with preschoolers doing a reenactment of the story with props you make with poster board. RIP Eric Carle.

Curriculum
Our curriculum is based on a child emergent curriculum. When a child can share their interests, they are more willing to learn about the world around them. Our focus will be on individual learning time with free choice learning center play. Teacher directed activities that are based on Colorado State Standards and will be organized in units. Children learn through repetition. Literacy will be our focus with one book per week. We will enhance language through meaningful conversations during play and during mealtimes. Social-emotional teachable moments will take place during a small circle time with the group. Enhancing learning through movement through obstacle courses or music. For small infants provide a rich environment and variety of experiences to meet your child’s rapidly developing needs. Our focus is for your child to leave confident in their abilities intellectually and socially to prepare them for life.

Educational Philosophy
Relationships are the essence of healthy growth and development socially and emotionally for young children. From infant to school age, it is important that a child’s basic needs are met so that they can flourish and learn. Here at Early Explorers, we believe the importance a foundation of a good relationship with the family to get to know their child. Children learn about their world through play. We believe in giving the child the opportunity to share their interests to make learning more meaningful experience. Our program encourages child development and growth through the domains of cognitive, social, emotional, language and physical development.
