Im so proud of our kids! Last weekend our Showstoppers and Rascals 4-hers showed at our Clallam County Pre Fair. These kids are also Sequim Riding Academy students and they represent the Academy well!! This is everyone's first year of showing and it brings me back to my first year of showing as a kid and I remember how meaningful those days were and still are to me. I teared up a couple of times watching our kids bond and form life long relationships and memories. Its such a special thing to be part of. There were a few kids who couldn't make it to this one and one who be able to join us again until next show season as she goes through cancer treatment. I cant wait to have our team whole again. I know she was on our minds the whole time wishing she was there. We love you Alexis Gierth!

I'm so proud of our menagerie of academy horses.
We don't have a string of high caliper show horses to work with right now. We have the good old farts that have been there, done that. But not all have been in the show arena. So I thought it would be fun to tell you a little bit about these horses.
Just like with people, age is not everything. When old bodies have stayed active and well cared for they continue to thrive and stay strong. So we don't quit on them until they tell us they are ready for retirement because realistically when they stop exercising they go down hill quickly. There is a special time in their life when they say "retire me" and then we do.

Ps after posting this i was messaged by a few students saying you forgot about Banjo, you forgot about chocolate and Ginger and... and... and lol so more lesson horse stories to come!!

YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!
For most of these kids this was their very first show! They represented Clallam County horse 4H (Showstoppers and Rascals) and the represented Sequim Riding Academy and i couldn't be more proud! Its such an honor to be part of these guys horse journeys and this is just the beginning!!!
Amy Tucker-Matney i appreciate you so much with everything your always doing to keep this all going with me. We love you!!
And A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO ALL OF OUR SHOW MOMS AND DADS AND GRANDPARENTS AND BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!! You guys are amazing and so supportive!
