A little background... I have spent much of my life performing on vocals and flutes with my love being Celtic music and musical theatre. Along the way, I also obtained my master's degree for speech therapy. Vocology is my way of joining my passion and my profession and being able to help performers maintain healthy voice use across the lifespan.

Shame on the American Speech-Language Hearing Association for their noncommittal response on Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. Access to safe abortions is a human right. Undermining a person’s right to choose their own healthcare options is barbaric regardless if you agree with that choice. Millions of families affected by this decision will seek speech/language and hearing services and healthcare practitioners will be navigating the results of this decision for decades.

Would you drive a car across the country without looking under the hood for problems before you go? (Just.... humor me and say "no," although we both know the truth.)

What is true is how important getting a visualization of the vocal folds is for anyone who depends on their voice professionally, or if there are persistent voice concerns. Talk to me about how to get a referral for a voice evaluation with visualization options -- teamwork makes the dream work!
