So excited that I finally purchased and will start implementing the UFLI Foundations into my phonics sessions! UFLI is an explicit and systematic program that teaches foundational skills needed for students to become proficient readers. The scope and sequence aligns to those used at local school districts. This program is used specifically for primary grades or for struggling students at any grade level. I have used bits of this program when planning for sessions already but will be so excited to receive the manual to fully follow their program. This will be amazing for clients who are working towards reading/writing goals and especially for students with dyslexia. Tutoring is so much more than helping a student excel academically. It is also instilling confidence. It is showing students the power of “yet”. It is proving to them that when they try, and try again they are able to accomplish things that were once hard.
Tutoring helps students adopt a growth mindset which in turn can help them in so many more aspects of their life. It can translate into future study skills and a new perspective for education.

Weekend reset.
I’ve had multiple families reach out about summer tutoring. I’m trying to fill my books! If you know what times you’d like let’s get it in ASAP to ensure that you get the schedule you’d prefer 😊

Summer sessions begin June 26th. Taking clients M-F 8am-5pm.
I also plan on having some caterpillars in the room so we can watch their transformation into butterflies. I will have them starting the first week of summer. (June 26-30) Let’s make sure your child is in that week so they don’t miss out on the sweet caterpillars!🥰🐛
