We hope you all have had a great summer, tonight Arianna Holland and Ava James represented Deca at Seneca High Schools freshman orientation! We were so happy to see you all and answer your questions. Be on the lookout for our first official Deca member meeting! We hope you all have a great first day.

Seneca takes on State!
11 of our members were recognized this morning at the awards Ceremony.
Shivam, Landon, and Gabriel got 2nd for their business start up plan.
Chloe and Jillian got a Gold Ranking for their project.
Leah-4th (first alternate for ICDC)
Logan- 4th (first alternate for ICDC)
Connor- 5th
Irelyn and Jamiyah- top 10

SHS DECA made an appearance in The Journal today! Catch the press release letting everyone know about our chapters goals and accomplishments this year. Onto state we go! Wish us luck as we head out Thursday Morning!

MORE DECA NEWS!
Eight Seneca High School students participated in the first (and hopefully last) ever Virtual SC DECA State Conference this past week.

The students who placed in the Top 3 of their event, qualify to go to the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in April and compete again. Under normal circumstances, we would be traveling to Anaheim, CA for ICDC but this year, due to the pandemic, we will be participating virtually.

The top 3 placements are:
Grayson Cook, a senior @ Seneca High placed 1st place, Sports & Entertainment Marketing.
Jessica Zenteno, a junior @ Seneca High placed 2nd place in Principles of Hospitality.

The Top 10 finishers are:
Mikayla Finley, Sr - SHS - Top 10 - Principles of Marketing
Abigail Glover, Jr - SHS - 4th place Principles of Finance
Ryan Thomas, Jr - SHS - Top 10, Business Finance
Mekhi Gibson, So - SHS - Top 10, Sports & Entertainment Marketing
Jazmine Hughes, Sr - SHS - Top 10, Quick Serve Restaurant Management.

So proud of these DECA students and all their accomplishments! Way to go, Bobcats!
