The CARE-avan came rolling through the halls of SHS, with popcorn and sodas in tow this afternoon for our faculty and staff. Hard to beat our outstanding people. They are easy to celebrate. Let’s Go, Cats!

At 10:30 a.m. this morning, Seneca High School conducted a planned Code Red safety drill. At no time were students or staff in danger. This required exercise helps ensure that our school community is prepared should an emergency ever occur.

The drill was conducted in coordination with Seneca High Administration, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Department, and the School District of Oconee County Office of Student Services. Periodic safety drills are an important part of maintaining a secure learning environment, and we appreciate the continued support of our families and community as we work together to keep our students safe.

Our PLC was everything this morning. Teachers shared with each other moments where they felt most connected or successful in their positions as we worked to establish Departmental “Whys” for the new school year. We will use these as guiding ideas as we work together to make our school the strongest it can be.

The big day is here, Cats, and we're so excited to welcome everyone in for the 2026-2027 School Year.

Remember that the building opens at 8am. All bus students will enter at the cafeteria; all car riders will enter at the Gym entrance. Student Drivers may enter at 8:35, also at the Gym entrance. The same breakfast is served in both locations.

Lunch section is determined by your third block class.

After 2nd Block, all students should report to CAT.

Breakfast and lunch are free of charge for all students.

Dismissal is at 3:45pm. We ask that all parents be patient these first few days as we get back into the swing of things.

Bus riders will report directly to the cafeteria as soon as the dismissal bell rings.

We know there will be some hiccups these first couple of days, but we will work diligently to make things as efficient and safe as possible.

It's going to be a great year at Seneca High! See everyone in the morning!
