🍦 Ice cream, ice cream, who wants ice cream?!

Today we worked on building an ice cream cone while practicing communication skills using an AAC device.

The AAC device was used too:
🍨Help build sentences.
🍨Request color crayon wanted.
🍨Say when all done or wanted more.

This was such a fun way to work on communication, choice-making, and participation through play!

We love our Mrs. Kalyn! 🩵

💛✨ **Some people leave footprints on your heart that last a lifetime.** ✨💛

Kalyn recently received the sweetest message from the family of Mahz, a child she supported through our Early Intervention program. As Mahz graduated from Early Intervention, his mom shared these heartfelt words with Kalyn:

*"We were truly blessed to have you. Thanks so, so much for being such a huge part of Mahz's growth. We will forever be grateful. I pray that everyone gets to experience a Kalyn in their lifetime. While it may seem like the end, we are just beginning a lifelong friendship."* 💛

She went on to share how much she appreciates Kalyn—not only for the professional support she provided, but for the encouragement, reassurance, laughter, and genuine friendship she brought into their lives. 🥹

This is exactly why the work of our Early Intervention team is so meaningful. Early Intervention is about more than helping children reach developmental milestones. It's about partnering with families, celebrating progress, providing encouragement, and being there during some of the most important years of a child's life. 🌱✨

Kalyn, thank you for the compassion, dedication, and heart you bring to the families you serve. We are so proud to have you on the Tribble Center team! 💙

And to Mahz and his family—congratulations on this exciting milestone! 🎓🎉 We are cheering you on as you begin this next chapter!

☀️ Graduate Shoutout! ☀️

From Mrs. Kalyn: “Happy graduation day! 🎓 I have had the absolute privilege of working with this sweet boy each week for the past 3+ years. Watching him grow and learn to overcome every goal that has been set with such determination and hard work has been so special.

His sweet mama has been an incredible advocate for him every step of the way, and I know she will continue to cheer him on as he begins this next chapter. I have no doubt he is going to do amazing things in kindergarten!”

💛 Learning through PLAY is the best kind of learning!

This little buddy, used a fork to poke the play-doh, then matched each color to its correct spot. A simple, hands-on activity that encourages color recognition, hand strength, and following directions…all while having fun!

“My sweet Rileigh Bug,
I will never forget our first session — crying, running away, food aversions, would not sit and complete a task, did not like your hands to be be touched, and did not play appropriately with toys. Oh, and let’s not forget being so scared of baby dolls… and look at you now!
From naming letters, numbers, colors, and common objects. To sitting and completing any task at hand. You have learned and grown so much. Your smile is contagious and I could not be more proud of you! Watching your progress over this past couple of years has been such an honor, and I know you will continue to do amazing things.

Baby Bo,
You are sweet, brave, handsome, and have been such a joy to work with. I have loved watching you master new skills and learn over the past year. Once you start walking, your sisters better watch out! Your smile and personality lights up every room. I can’t wait to continue to watch you grow!”

☀️Graduate Shoutout ☀️

From Mrs. Ali: “I am so thankful that I was able to be apart of Waylon’s journey and cannot express how proud I am of all that he has accomplished. When we first started working together Waylon was saying very few words, was not playing appropriately with toys or completing activities. Now, Waylon talks my ears off our session. 🥰 He tells me all about cars and fire trucks, requests help when needed, identifies all of his colors, loves to sing songs with me and is asking for the next activity before the last one is even put away ! I sure am going to miss seeing his smiling face every week but am so excited to see what he accomplishes next !”
