Rain delay? No problem!

Our Semmes FFA members spent some time waiting out the weather at Riverwalk Stadium to enjoy a night with the Montgomery Biscuits. The rain may have slowed us down, but it didn’t dampen our spirits!

A little patience, plenty of laughs, and some baseball made for a great evening with this group. Sometimes the best memories happen while waiting for the skies to clear. 💙💛

Our Semmes FFA members had a busy and exciting day!

This week, our State FFA CDE qualifiers in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Communications traveled to compete at the state level, representing our chapter with pride. We are incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. This year was especially exciting as it marked the inaugural Agricultural Communications CDE for the state, and we were proud to have Semmes FFA students among the first competitors to participate in this new event.

After the competition, students had the opportunity to visit Young's Plant Farm , where they toured the Trial Garden and greenhouses. The visit gave students a firsthand look at plant production, variety trials, and the work that goes into supplying quality plants to growers and consumers.

Experiences like these help connect classroom learning to real-world agricultural careers and showcase the many opportunities available in our industry.

Our Semmes FFA competitors have {finally} settled in for the night in Montgomery for our week at the Alabama FFA Association state finals and convention.

A late-night “family meeting” to calm some nerves and get some final preparation in for the state finals tomorrow. FFA jackets and official dress steamed and ready!

We have a team competing in the Ag Communications CDE and an individual competing in the Ag Education CDE.
