The CDC will follow MCPSS and be closed on Friday as well.

Dear ,

As Superintendent, I must make all decisions with the safety and well-being of our students and employees in mind. We all know and recognize that weather conditions can be unpredictable and forecasts may change quickly.

After careful consideration of the latest weather information and the potential for inclement weather in our area, I cannot risk anyone’s safety, as again, the weather conditions currently remain extremely unpredictable. Therefore, all Mobile County Public Schools campuses and offices will be closed on Friday, October 9, 2026. I completely understand that closing schools can create challenges for families, and I do not take that impact lightly.

I appreciate your patience, understanding, and flexibility as we navigate circumstances that are ultimately beyond our control. Please continue to monitor official MCPSS communication platforms for any additional information or updates.

Sincerely,

Chresal D. Threadgill
Superintendent
Mobile County Public Schools

Introducing August!!
We are so excited to participate in the Discover Dairy Adopt a Cow program again this year! Over the next few months our K4 students will get to follow our calf and see how much she grows and learn how the milk they drink makes it from the farm to our homes. If you want to follow online you can download the Discover Dairy app and enter the cow code "AUGUST".

🎀✨ IT’S DOLLY DAY AT SFBCDC! ✨🎀

Today we’re celebrating our amazing staff with a little Dolly Parton-inspired fun! 🤠💖

We know our crew is working 9 to 5, and they’re sweet as sugar, so we’re ready to spoil them a little! 🍭✨

☕ They can pour themselves a cup of ambition
🍬 Grab some sweet treats
🎀 Enjoy lots of pink & sparkly goodies
💗 And take a moment to feel appreciated for all they do!

Because our teachers spend their days pouring so much love, patience, and kindness into our children — today, we’re pouring a little sweetness right back into them! 💕

Thank you to our incredible staff for all you do! We’re so thankful for each and every one of you! 🌸

🎶 Workin’ 9 to 5 never looked so sweet! 🎶
