School Advisory Council
What is the School Advisory Council?
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a group of parents, staff, students, and community members who work together to support school success. The SAC advises the principal on school operations and helps guide decisions related to school improvement and accountability.
One of the SAC’s main responsibilities is developing and monitoring the School Improvement Plan (SIP). Using school data, the council helps identify priorities, set goals, and ensure resources and school improvement funds are used to support student achievement.
The SAC also strengthens communication and collaboration between the school, families, and the community to help ensure school improvement efforts reflect local needs and support student success.
Are you interested in joining the School Advisory Council?
School Advisory Council (SAC) members are nominated and elected at the start of each school year to help ensure the council reflects the school community. Parents, staff, students, and community members may nominate themselves or others during the nomination period. The Nomination Period is 10/8/2026-10/13/2026. Elections will be held if needed at the 10/15/2026 meeting, and all eligible voters will receive information about how to participate. SAC membership is designed to represent the diverse voices and interests of our school community. Contact Ms. Kranzel [email protected] for information on nomination and election timeline and to state your interest in joining.
All SAC Meetings are open to the public, but only elected members may vote. See below for a calendar of this year’s SAC meetings.
