Not every bee colony is friendly… and sometimes even the beekeepers have to RUN! 😂🐝

All jokes aside, this is an important part of responsible beekeeping. Some feral colonies we encounter can be extremely defensive, and those are genetics we don’t want spreading through our apiaries.

With this colony, we removed the original queen and will introduce a new queen selected for a calmer temperament. As the new queen produces workers, the colony’s population will gradually be replaced with her genetics. This also helps reduce undesirable genetics being passed on through drones mating with other queens in the area.

Saving bees also means managing them responsibly, for our bees, our beekeepers, and our community. 🐝💛

As beekeepers, we are constantly learning. 🐝💛 Every season, every colony, and every experience teaches us something new.

And one of the things we love most is sharing what we learn with our community, because caring for our bees also means understanding them better, educating others, and inspiring the next generation of beekeepers. 🌻🐝

The learning never stops, and neither does our love for the bees. 💛

Seminole Bee Farms • 2026 🐝🤎

These past few years, life has brought us so many challenges, adventures, and unforgettable moments. Looking back, we feel incredibly proud of every step we’ve taken together.

Every day stronger. Every day more united. And every day believing a little more that this dream we’ve built together is truly becoming a reality.

There is still so much ahead of us, but sometimes it’s beautiful to look back and realize just how far we’ve come.

A special thank you to for capturing this beautiful photo and giving us a little piece of our story to keep forever. 📸🤎
