I have been asked in many classes, "what is the difference between activated charcoal and charcoal from the campfire?" Here is the answer from an industry expert. A bit long but very informative. Activated charcoal is used to purify water, and medicinally for poisoning. In a pinch, regular charcoal can be used at reduced effect. What's the difference? How can I upgrade my charcoal? Our latest video; this is a project we did for the Tishomingo Arts Council in Mississippi. They are sharing a poem a day for national poetry month. Our selection is an original piece by yours truly and we did all the video and sound internally.
