Theme: Celebrating the Past, Embracing the Present, Envisioning the Future

Dear Fellow Schoolmates:
First, I ask all of you to continue to pray for and support the city of Selma and those that were negatively impacted by the tornado earlier this month. We pray that Selma will rebuild and come back stronger and better than ever.
The 2023 Brantley School Reunion Committee is excited about our upcoming school reunion and is preparing for another fun-filled celebration. The reunion will be the weekend of June 30 through July 2, 2023, registration fee is $150.00 per person which also includes a polo shirt and a souvenir booklet. Please send the registration fee in the form of a money order or cashier’s check. DO NOT send personal checks.

Please complete the enclosed Brantley School Reunion 2023 registration form. A tentative schedule of events is also attached. Additional polo shirts are $20.00 each and additional booklets are $10.00 each (additional items must be pre-ordered). Also, ads can be purchased to go in the booklet based on the size and cost shown on the registration form. Don’t forget to include a copy of your ad and payment for your ad with the registration fee.

Payment should be made to: Brantley School Reunion and mailed to P.O. Box 883, Selma, AL 36702-0883. Deadline for all payments is April 14, 2023.

Remember, returning your registration early helps us to rollout a quality event. Be sure to include the name and payment for any guest that will be attending with you.

Please pass this information on to other schoolmates that may not have received this package. We encourage classmates who have never attended a reunion to join us for this celebration. And for those classmates who haven’t attended in a while, we miss you and would love to see you at this reunion.

Sincerely,

Due to the continued spread of COVID 19 and its variants. The Executive Committee met and voted not to plan a reunion this year (2022). The plan is to wait until the end of this year to determine if it is safe to plan for next year.
Be safe

Dear Fellow Schoolmates:
In March of this year, the Brantley High School (BHS) Reunion Committee notified everyone that due to the impact of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, we would not have a school reunion this year and we would reschedule the Reunion for June 25-27, 2021. We also encouraged everyone to heed the advice of our scientist and experts on this Coronavirus pandemic and take care of ourselves, our families and others.
Unfortunately, the pandemic is still wreaking havoc on our nation and the world, and we are not even close to having a vaccine. According to the Food and Drug Administration, the earliest that they foresee getting an approved vaccine will be the 3rd quarter of 2021. Even then, they can’t predict when an approved vaccine will be available to the general public and everyone is vaccinated.
With this in mind, and so many uncertainties remaining, our planning committee has decided to delay the next BHS reunion until 2022 with the tentative dates being June 24-26, 2022. As stated before, we will resume planning efforts when this pandemic is behind us and it is practical to do so. This pandemic is nowhere near over, and we encourage you all to protect yourselves, your loved ones, and everyone else from this deadly virus.
We want to see every one of you back for the 2022 reunion. And remember that in order to effect real change in combating this pandemic we all need to VOTE for trusted leadership in next month’s presidential election. Be safe, wear your mask, and always practice social distancing.
Thank you,

HERMANSKI PATTERSON, President
