Monday Morning Recap…

Now that the dust has settled, here’s how the rest of the day went for Raider Robotics.

In Skills, the team finished 37th with a score of 94 (59 driving / 38 autonomous), which is their highest score of the season—beating their previous best by 11 points.

In qualification matches, they faced some tough opponents in the final three rounds and finished 3–5, just missing the finals tournament. Three of the losses were absolute nail-biters (44–48, 48–49, and 46–49).

Overall, they outscored their opponents 466–280, a +186 point difference.

Even though Team Big Mac didn’t make the finals, they performed the best they have all season and definitely left an impression. I even had another coach come up and ask how they got their name, something that’s never happened to one of our teams before!

With the season wrapped up, Raider Robotics will spend some time resetting for next year, working more with sensors, building transport crates for the robots, and recruiting some 8th graders to help grow the program.

Thank you to all the parents and supporters for everything this season. Things are definitely looking up for Raider Robotics! 🤖

Lunchtime Update!

Team Big Mac started the day with two really close losses, 44-48 and 48-49. Though they won their last match pretty comfortably 100-9, to end up with a 3-2 overall record to this point. With 3 matches left, they are sitting in 21st out of 64 teams.

On the other hand, they have also scored 92 points in their skills runs! This is their highest all season and they still have a fun more runs to do.

Currently, they are at judging.

Evening Update for Team Big Mac at the State Tournament.

They ended up running their second match twice due to technical issues with the field. At least that is what I was told. They ended up winning that match and completed the day 2-0. It’s a great start but there is a lot of matches still tomorrow and a lot of work to get ready for them. They are currently sitting in 13th place out of 64.

I’ll continue to update via facebook tomorrow when I can.

Thanks for all the support!!!
