🚀🌟 STEM IN ACTION AT MEADOWVIEW! 🌟🚀

Our little engineers are reaching for the stars! 🌎✨

Today, our students listened to the inspiring book ** A Computer Called Katherine **, which tells the story of Katherine Johnson, a brilliant mathematician whose calculations helped NASA send astronauts into space! 📚🚀

After listening to the story, students put their creativity and problem-solving skills to work by building space rockets and exploring different shapes! 🔺🟦🔴

Through this exciting hands-on STEM activity, students explored geometry, engineering, teamwork, critical thinking, and the importance of dreaming BIG!

At Meadowview Elementary, we are inspiring the next generation of mathematicians, scientists, engineers, and astronauts! 👩🏽‍🚀👨🏽‍🚀🦁💙

🌬️💨 STEM IS IN FULL SWING AT MEADOWVIEW! 🦁❤️💛

Our young innovators watched the inspiring movie The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, and now they are putting their creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork to the test! ⚙️💡

Students are working together to design and build their very own windmills! Through this hands-on STEM challenge, they are learning about wind energy, engineering, problem-solving, and the power of collaboration.

At Meadowview, we don’t just learn about science WE BRING IT TO LIFE! 🔬🌎

💙🦁 BLUE OUT FOR KINDNESS! 🦁💙

Today, our Meadowview students and teachers blued out for kindness as we continued celebrating Bullying Prevention Week! 💙

We wore blue to remind everyone that kindness matters and that each of us has the power to make a difference through our words and actions. At Meadowview, we choose to be kind, include others, and stand up against bullying!

📚🦁 Literacy Night was a ROARING success! 🦁📚

A huge THANK YOU to all of our parents, families, and students who joined us for an evening of learning about all things literacy! We hope you left with helpful information and strategies to support reading and learning at home.

👏🏾 We also want to give a special SHOUT-OUT to our amazing PTO officers for their continued support of Meadowview Elementary! Your time, dedication, and willingness to help make our school events special are truly appreciated. ❤️💙

🎁 We added a little extra fun to the evening with gift card giveaways for our teachers and parents in attendance! Three lucky winners received gift cards to Domino’s, Reflection Coffee, and Texas Roadhouse! Congratulations to our winners! 🎉

We truly cannot do this important work without the support and partnership of our parents and families. When families and schools work together, our students WIN! 📚✨

Thank you for showing up, participating, and investing in our students’ success. Together, we are Roaring Toward Excellence—Every Student. Every Day. Every Way. 🦁❤️💙
