New school year, new class opportunity! This year, ALMS is offering Introduction to Agriculture as a new elective for 7th and 8th grade students. In this hands-on class, students are exploring a variety of agricultural topics, including plants, animals, food science, technology, and career opportunities. Introducing students to agriculture in middle school helps them better understand how agriculture impacts their everyday lives while exposing them to the many educational and career opportunities within the industry.

In these photos, students are being introduced to the floral industry by creating floral pens and handmade thank-you cards for a family member or staff member.

We're excited to see our students discover the many opportunities agriculture has to offer right here in the Central Valley! 🌾💐

Selma High School officially welcomed 415 new freshmen to Bear Nation! Incoming students spent the day getting registered, exploring campus, meeting new classmates, and connecting with their Link Crew leaders.

Link Crew is a peer mentoring program that pairs upperclassmen with incoming freshmen to help make the transition to high school a positive one. Throughout the year, Link Leaders serve as mentors, role models, and friendly faces—helping freshmen build confidence, make connections, and feel like they belong from day one.

A huge thank you to our student leaders and staff for creating such a welcoming experience. We can't wait to see the Class of 2030 on the first day of school! 🧡🖤🐻
