Theatre Honors 2026 was a busy night filled with joy!
Our new officers of Troupe #5151 took their place for the 26-27 year. 📜
12 new Thespians were inducted. 🎭
Highlights from this seasons shows were performed. ✨️

Our seniors performed a song of their choice. 🎤 And finally, last but not least, they took their final bow. 🥹

Congratulate TREVOR BACK for receiving a SUPERIOR ranking for his Musical Theatre Solo Thespy at the Indiana Thespians State competition earlier this year! 🏆

Troupe #5151 is thankful for our Theatre teacher, Mr. Seth Sheffield who does all of this and more.

Theatre education is not extra. It is where students practice empathy, communication, problem-solving, leadership, collaboration, confidence, and creativity. It is where students who may not feel seen anywhere else often find a place to belong. This Teacher Appreciation Week, we thank the theatre educators who make that possible.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee tickets are now available! 🐝🎙
An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.

This weekend Audrey Pierce was recognized for being a finalist in the IRT’s (Indiana Repertory Theatre’s) YPiP (Young Playwrights in Process) competition!
She was able to talk with professionals in the field as well as her fellow finalists!
She was awarded a $250 prize and an excerpt from her play “ The Last Penny of a Mother’s Heart” was read by professional actors. She was also part of a talk back/interview during the awards ceremony! (clip below!)
She was also recognized in front of the audience for IRT’s performance of Come from Away! (which was wonderful)
