Hi Everyone! Just wanted to let you know that SVYAS will be on hold until Spring. It's a bummer, but all good in the big picture. It will give us a chance to make Spring better than ever! The new time and day presented issues for many potential enrollments and I really had no other choice given my schedule for the Fall. So onward in Spring 2014! Spread the word! And thanks as always for all the support!

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I was able to work out scheduling with Post and Lintel for the Fall semester and the details are posted on the website: www.svyas.org. We will be holding Theatre Sports on Mondays from 3:30p-4:45p and Creative Dramatics on Wednesdays (same as last semester) from 4:00p-4:45p. Let me know if you have any questions!! Well, "Children at Play" felt like a great success! I have to say, the kids really made it happen. All my plans were out the window within the first hour! Haha... But then the kids proceeded to compose an entire play (about 8 scenes) with wonderful characters and fabulous action! We created the costumes and the sets...it was AWESOME. Next up: "Laugh Out Loud"! Can't wait!

OK! Happy to report that "Children at Play," our first Summer Camp (pre K-2nd) is underway!! It started out with lots of drama (NOT on the schedule--haha) but before I knew it we were making up fantastic characters and a plot that even Disney would envy! ;) Tomorrow? More skit rehearsal (with costumes and props!) and the first installment of "Little Pond," an original radio drama in five scenes!!

Wow! My schedule outside of SVYAS has been CRAZY for way too long now! Can't wait for camp! By the way, the time is quickly drawing near! I am hoping to finalize numbers over the next week. Please let me know of any last minute campers for Children at Play (July 22-26) or Laugh Out Loud (July 29-Aug 2)!

Children at Play! Pre K—2nd Grade A whirlwind introduction to the wonderful world of drama!...

Just wanted to point out how proud I am of my SVTS Improvers! Our last session was alive with REAL improv! At this rate we will be able to perform before long! Good job guys!!

Special note to Creative Dramatics Kids: We had a close call with the microphone in class last week, but...it turns out WE'RE OK! The mic is still kicking! Which means: get ready for "Kid Commercials" tomorrow night!

Feedback needed!! Hi everyone! First semester has been going great but the time has come to finalize summer plans! As parents, whether you've taken one of our classes or not, I would love to hear which way you would vote for summer classes: day camp mon-fri (one or two weeks) OR evening sessions once a week for a short semester. (Like 8 instead of 16 weeks). Any thoughts are appreciated!
