His experience as a direct care staff person highly influences his system of crisis aversion and prevention. Stoltenburg.
CAPE (Crisis Aversion & Preventative Etiquette) is a program designed to assist those employees or family members who are often the targets of people who need mental health assistance in the deescalation of an emerging crisis situation in any setting. CAPE is a system of crisis identification and de-escalation created by a Staff Development Specialist with over 20 years of hands on experience in c
risis intervention with individuals with behavioral challenges of all types. Throughout his years as a trainer, he has also taken his approach and successfully applied it to other settings as well such as training safety courses for retail and restaurant employees who throughout the COVID pandemic were being confronted more and more often by frustrated customers and educators who are dealing with high amounts of fear and anxiety among their students. Although CAPE has practical applications during an emerging crisis situation, this course also promotes mindfulness both on the job and outside of work to create a more positive atmosphere at the workplace in order to more effective work as a team to meet many challenges and improve worker and management relationships. This involves the allowance of respectfully communicating grievances in a safe and anonymous environment. Before training staff, our founder will meet with management to ensure that the goals of the program are clear. At the end of the course, he will again meet with management to go over the discussions had in the class, although which employee had each suggestions will remain anonymous unless they prefer otherwise. Although this course can also be beneficial to those who are often confronted with people during the most stressful times, such as EMTs, firefighters, police officers, hospital security, and other public safety officials - it is not meant to replace any existing policies or programs within these public safety realms, only as a valuable supplemental resource. While the training materials are still being developed, consultations up to two hours for this course are free of charge without any obligations. For now, the founder is also the sole trainer available to teach this course, but progress is being made toward making other trainers available who have taken an immersive training session with Mr. If you have any interest in becoming one of these trainers, please contact this page with your information and experience. Currently serving The Susquehanna Valley, Central PA, NEPA and surrounding areas.
