🥞 Breakfast & School Start Reminder! 🥚

Although school starts at 8:30 AM, there is a FREE breakfast for all students from 8:00–8:30 AM.

Tomorrow’s breakfast: Ms. Maples’ homemade pancakes with fresh scrambled eggs—thank you, Jenny Chissus! ❤️

Student entrance: Please use the double doors across from the playground (aka pool/gym entrance).

Families, come join us for breakfast! Sit with your children and for this week - enjoy breakfast on us, and visit with their teachers before the school day begins. Let's continue to build on our legacy. We’d love to see you! 🦦💙

Hi Seldovia Community!

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Kwame Hymes, the newest member of our Susan B. English School team! 🦦

Kwame comes to SBE with a strong background in special education, individualized instruction, behavior support, coaching, and youth mentorship. Throughout his career, he has been committed to helping young people grow academically, socially, and personally while building strong, positive relationships with students and families.

Kwame also brings experience in IEP development, differentiated instruction, positive behavior supports, youth programming, and community outreach. His work with young people has emphasized teamwork, confidence, discipline, and personal growth.

Serving as 1/2 time Elementary Teacher & 1/2 time Special Education Teacher, we’re excited for the experience, energy, and student-centered approach Kwame brings to our small K–12 school and community.

Please help us welcome Kwame to Seldovia and give him a big Sea Otter welcome! 💙🦦
