Driving Safely for Selah Students:

As we excitedly prepare for our Selah students to return to school on this upcoming Monday, August 31, we would like to remind drivers to take precautions for increased traffic near schools and to be aware of student walkers. We ask that drivers be very cautious during the time periods when our students travel to and from school. Also, please be reminded of when to stop for a school bus (please see accompanying graphics). Student safety is our priority!

Let’s have a great school year together!

Connect to Learning!

As we begin the 2026–2027 school year, Selah School District’s revised electronic device policy will take effect for students in grades PK–12.

The goal is simple: to help create learning environments where students can focus, participate, and connect with the people and learning happening around them.

Under the revised policy, personal telecommunication devices—including cell phones, headphones, earbuds, smart watches, smart glasses and other electronic devices—should be turned off and put away during the regular school day. Devices may be used before and after school, unless there is an emergency involving imminent physical danger or a school administrator authorizes their use.

We encourage families and students to review the full Policy and Procedure 3245 on our website.

Devices Away. Learning All Day.
