In March 2012, parents and teachers found out that First Baptist Christian Academy was closing its doors at the end of the school year due to the church wanting to go a different direction with it's ministry. Lisa Burns was very disappointed that her younger two children were not going to get the same preschool experience as her older children. She convinced the three outstanding current preschool

teachers Carol Marmesh, Jessica Gonzales, and Tara Milstead) to branch out with her and keep the preschool open under a new name, Sprouts Learning Academy. Sprouts Learning Academy will continue the Christian curriculum that the preschool had in the past but will add enrichment activities like science experiments, literacy centers, cooking classes, and grow a garden.

💦Water Day Fun! 🌊

We’re soaking up every last splash of summer! 💦 Today was our second-to-last Water Day of the season, and our Sprouts friends made sure to make it count! From splashing and spraying to running, laughing, and making memories with friends—we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to Water Day yet!

One more Water Day to go… so you KNOW we’re going out with a SPLASH! 💦

Little Learners, BIG Milestones!

There’s always something growing in our center! From dotting practice and discovering colors to exploring new activities and making new little friends, even the simplest moments are packed with learning.

These everyday experiences help our littlest Sprouts work toward important. age-appropriate milestones like fine-motor development, hand-eye coordination, color recognition, social interaction, curiosity, and communication.

Learning starts little—and grows right along with them! 🌱✨

💙🎤 Question of the Day: If you could rename the color BLUE… what would you call it?!

We thought we were asking a simple question, but our Sprouts friends had other plans!

Apparently blue could now be called Elsa ❄️,Unicorn🦄, Green 💚, Red ❤️, Azul 💙, Stormie ⛈️… and our personal favorite plot twist: Skippyjon Jones! 📚

Honestly, we may never look at a box of crayons the same way again.

Turn up the sound and listen to these little minds at work—there’s truly never a dull answer at Sprouts! 🌱

Lunch time = happy time at Sprouts!

Good food tastes even better when you’re sitting around the table with your friends! Today’s lunch brought full tummies, little conversations, lots of giggles, and plenty of smiles.

Because even lunchtime at Sprouts is a chance to practice independence, friendships, table manners, and trying new foods!

Good food + good friends = a pretty great Sprouts day!

😊 Monday Smiles are back—and we found them everywhere today!

Smiles over green beans , smiles while flipping through favorite books, smiles at snack time… and some smiles simply because it’s a brand-new week at Sprouts!

Sometimes there doesn’t need to be a big reason to smile. A new week, good friends, yummy food, and a day full of learning will do just fine!

Here’s to another week of little moments and BIG smiles!

☀️ Water Day = the BEST kind of Friday at Sprouts! ☀️

We splashed, sprayed, played, and giggled our way through another amazing Water Day! 🌊 There’s nothing quite like watching our little Sprouts make summer memories with their friends.

Wet clothes, big smiles, and LOTS of laughter… we’d call that a pretty successful Fun Friday! 💚🌱

There is so much growth happening at Sprouts even as we wrap up our Summer tour, and sometimes the biggest milestones are found in the sweetest little moments. 💚

Our PreK4 friends read My Magical Me and practiced the affirmations from the story together. Then each child became a little author, creating their very own “I am…” statement, writing or tracing their words, and illustrating what makes them uniquely THEM. ✏️🎨❤️

While our big kids are building early writing skills, confidence, and learning that their voices matter, our younger Sprouts are busy reaching milestones of their own—from sitting in chairs, and walking to sharing, using a spoon and becoming more independent each day. 🥹

Different ages. Different milestones. One BIG journey of learning and growing. 🌱
