In March 2012, parents and teachers found out that First Baptist Christian Academy was closing its doors at the end of the school year due to the church wanting to go a different direction with it's ministry. Lisa Burns was very disappointed that her younger two children were not going to get the same preschool experience as her older children. She convinced the three outstanding current preschool teachers Carol Marmesh, Jessica Gonzales, and Tara Milstead) to branch out with her and keep the preschool open under a new name, Sprouts Learning Academy. Sprouts Learning Academy will continue the Christian curriculum that the preschool had in the past but will add enrichment activities like science experiments, literacy centers, cooking classes, and grow a garden.

Question of the Day: Why do you or your friends cry at drop-off?

This one gave us some pretty sweet (and VERY honest ) answers! Sometimes we miss our moms and dads, sometimes we’re still sleepy, and sometimes we just need a little extra love before starting our day.

We love giving our little Sprouts the chance to talk about their feelings—and reminding them that all feelings are okay, and goodbyes always end with a hello! 🌱

Snack Time Fun at Sprouts!

What could make an AM snack more fun than fresh strawberries, a little whipped cream, and FINALLY some of that crisp fall air?!

Sweet treats + cooler weather + our Sprouts friends = a pretty perfect little morning!

Sometimes the simplest things make the BEST memories.

💚 Wrapping up our Community Helpers theme in the sweetest way! And what better way to end it than with a special story from one of our very own community helpers!

Our PreK4 friends loved hearing Pinkalicious read by Game Warden Mr. Jansky! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit, read with us, and share a little bit of your day with our Sprouts friends.

We also made a few special thank-you cards for some of the amazing parents who are community helpers right here in our own Sprouts family. 🚒👮‍♀️🩺🐾💚

It has been so much fun learning about the people who help, protect, teach, care for, and serve our community. To all of our Sprouts community helpers—we appreciate YOU so much! 🌱

👶💭 QUESTION OF THE DAY: What do babies think about?!

We asked our Sprouts friends to tell us what they think is going on inside those tiny baby brains, and their answers did NOT disappoint!
