Seguin welcomed their new teachers to the district on Monday and our local was there to hand out bags full of goodies to help them through the first day of meetings! Those red bags were clearly seen on the tables. Applications, water, candy, nail files, and pens were tucked inside.

July was a busy month! The Summit Leadership Convention was held at the Dallas Sheraton July 8-10 and officers enjoyed the State Fair atmosphere while learning new ways to lead our local!

Our local has been busy the last several weeks. We handed out goodie bags to 150 new teachers at the NTO on August 1; met with the campus reps.(who could make it) on August 3rd for a breakfast to hand out some materials and thank you gifts; and officers shared ATPE info. at the district convocation today at Seguin High School.

Seguin Local awarded two scholarships to graduating high school seniors last night! Kayla Hinton and Anna Busskohl will be pursuing Music Education degrees next year. We congratulate them and wish them a bright future! Education needs you and we know these two girls will make Seguin proud!
